In a webinar that took place on July 19, 2023 at 1pm, we discussed how manufacturer’s can gain insight into the behavior of non-cylindrical flexible components such as bellow and grommets in order to reach optimized designs long before start of production.
The IPS software module for bellows and grommets is based on a FEM shell solver developed by the Fraunhofer-Chalmers Centre and delivers extremely fast simulation times. The module offers the possibility to create and import motions, analyze reaction forces, von Mises stress, and distance to surrounding geometries. Ultimately leading to reduced design times, fewer prototypes, and shorter time to market.
