Introduction to Office Ergonomics

In-Person Training Sessions

We are excited to announce that Sandalwood of Canada and Ergonow Incorporated will be collaborating to provide three in-person, informative sessions focused on office ergonomics.

These sessions will be valuable for anyone who spends a significant amount of time in the office and want to learn how to make workspaces and equipment more comfortable and efficient.

Who Should Attend?   

Computer Users, Designers, Engineers, Animators, Call Centers, Control Rooms, Supervisors, Managers, Controllers/Purchasers or Executives who work in an office.

Training Session #1 – Introduction to Office Ergonomics

Date & Time: October 20, 2023 | 8:30 am – 11:00 am

Location: 3033 Marentette Avenue, Windsor ON N8X 4G1

Cost: $100 CAD | $75 USD

Course Description:

The first session will cover introductory principles of office ergonomics, including the basics of posture and positioning for optimal health and productivity.  The information presented will address the current MSD’s seen in office environments, identify the hazards that lead to potential discomforts and/or injury, and discuss solutions.  This will be a hands-on, interactive session for all in attendance

 

Training Session #2 – What to Know About Purchasing Office Furniture and Products

Date & Time: November 24, 2023 | 8:30 am – 11:00 am

Location: 3033 Marentette Avenue, Windsor ON N8X 4G1

Cost: $100 CAD | $75 USD

Course Description:

The second session will focus on learning about the products that are out on the market today.  The participants will be educated on the features and benefits they offer as well as how to determine the product that meets your employee’s needs.  It will be a very interactive training session allowing participants to see the products firsthand.  This session is for anyone who is responsible for purchasing equipment in the office for the employees.

 

Training Session #3 – Creating a Sustainable Office Ergonomics Program

Date & Time: December 8, 2023 | 8:30 am – 11:00 am

Location: 3033 Marentette Avenue, Windsor ON N8X 4G1

Cost: $100 CAD | $75 USD

Course Description:

The third and final session will be all about developing an office ergonomics program that a company can use to maintain a comfortable and healthy workplace for the long-term. The participant will be educated on key players that should be included in the process and what to include to get the most out of a program. This session is designed for individuals who are looking to create or improve their office ergonomics program.

 

Registration & Cost

Attendance at individual sessions is $100 CAD ($75 USD) per person per session.  Should an attendee decide to attend all three sessions, a discount of $25 CAD ($10 USD) per session will be applied.

Your Trainers

Sue Brunet

Sue is the President of Ergonow and has been an Ergonomist for over 25 years.  She has a Bachelors Degree in Human Kinetics and has been a Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist since 2013.  Sue is also Co-Chair of the Southwestern Region of Ontario for the Association of Canadian Ergonomists.  Established in 2014, Ergonow – based in Windsor, Ontario – performs Ergonomic Consulting Services and act as Resellers of Office Furniture Products. 

Angela Cacanindin

Angela is a Junior Ergonomist at Ergonow and has been with the company for two years.  Angela graduated from the University of Windsor in 2021 with a Bachelors of Human Kinetics and is a Member of the Association of Ergonomics.

Victoria Brunet

Victoria is the Office Ergonomics Subject Matter Expert at Sandalwood of Canada Ltd.  She received her B.H.K – Movement Science (2016) and her M.H.K – Applied Human Performance (2021) from the University of Windsor. Victoria is certified as an Associate Ergonomist in the United States(AEP – BCPE).
